Camp Pinnacle was the first place I served as a collegiate missionary and it will always have a very special place in my heart. During my two summers serving, I transformed from a shy girl to a young woman of God who just wants to serve Jesus Christ. God used my experience at Pinnacle to strengthen my love for missions and my love for the will of God, as opposed to my own will. He also used Pinnacle to show me that “missions” does not just consist of going overseas but of serving God right where you are.
Being a staffer at Pinnacle has given me a more complete understanding of what it means to be a follower of Christ, which is to make yourself nothing just as He did. I loved being a best friend to the campers, which consisted of having fun and acting like a kid. I also cherished being a spiritual mother to the campers and the heavy responsibility that God gave me to shepherd them. With this came many difficulties, but the difficulties are powerless compared to knowing God was using me to change the lives of girls for eternity!!
